The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatherer misses the shot to the body.
Gatherer lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ritter misses with a series of wild punches.
Ritter throws a leg kick but Gatherer moved away.
Gatherer looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Gatherer delivers a nice body kick.
Ritter misses with an uppercut
and Ritter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ritter slips under a jab from Gatherer.
Icarus Ritter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ritter fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Gatherer is out of range.

It looks like Hunter Gatherer has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gatherer throws a jab but it's blocked by Ritter.

Oooooh!!! Gatherer has knocked Ritter down with a huge combo! Gatherer steps away and waves a wobbly Ritter back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Icarus Ritter has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gatherer dips a shoulder and cracks Ritter with a mighty uppercut! Ritter falls back against the cage and Gatherer unloads with a barrage of strikes! Ritter is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Gatherer screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hunter Gatherer!
