PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vyacheslav Romanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by Riviera Ridin. On his way into the cage it seems that Anthony Brown has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Anthony Brown seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anthony Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vyacheslav Romanov!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Romanov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Brown blocks a head kick by Romanov.
Brown has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Romanov throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Anthony Brown has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Brown counters with a shoot takedown. Romanov fights it but they end up in guard.
Brown tries to free his leg and advance position but Romanov is retaining full guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Brown lands a nice short elbow.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brown connects with a nice short shot to Romanov's temple.

Brown lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Anthony Brown.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brown, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
