The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hovi pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Santiago back to the cage. Hovi follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Santiago's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hovi under the eye.
Hovi throws a hook but Santiago blocks it.

Jorge Santiago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santiago throws a leg kick but Hovi sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Hovi seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Santiago leaves his chin hanging out and Hovi seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Santiago crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
