PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Domina Tor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Gonzales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Domina Tor!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tor avoids the head kick by Gonzales.
Gonzales tries to bum rush Tor with a series of wild strikes but Tor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tor changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gonzales tries to avoid it but Tor manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gonzales to the ground. Gonzales escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gonzales tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Tor forces Gonzales back against the cage and clinches.
Gonzales wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Gonzales wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Tor on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Tor keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gonzales's efforts to push away.

Tor is trying to trip Gonzales. He has hold of a leg but Gonzales is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Tor persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Gonzales is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tor is controlling him.
Tor content to stall in guard here.
Tor with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tor looking to improve position, pressing down on Gonzales's thigh with his hand. Gonzales seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Tor paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Tor's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Gonzales picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
