PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Dummy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Locke kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Star Wars - Imperial March. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Dummy!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Locke gets caught flat footed, as Dummy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Locke looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Locke keeping moving, preventing Dummy from controlling successfully.

Locke escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dummy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dummy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Locke has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dummy has managed to get both his arms back between Locke's legs - danger averted.

Locke isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Dummy stacks Locke on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Dummy!

Dummy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Dummy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Dummy remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
