Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Camatta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eduardo Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Antonio Camatta!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Camatta defends well and Alvarez ends up having to push Camatta into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Alvarez works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Camatta is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Alvarez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Camatta's guard.

Alvarez seems to be looking for submissions.

Alvarez manages to capitalize on a mistake by Camatta to take his back!

Camatta felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Alvarez is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Camatta knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Camatta for a finish.

Alvarez is trying to stick to Camatta's back but Camatta is turning into Alvarez. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Alvarez's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Camatta.

Alvarez isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Camatta stacks Alvarez on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Camatta!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That was a close second round but I would say that Eduardo Alvarez will probably get the nod.

Well Alvarez has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
