Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Koji Murosaki!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murosaki misses with a two punch combination.

Brown dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brown comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Murosaki is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Oh Brown is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Brown moves out of range of the strikes.
Murosaki fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Brown seems to have got his legs back now.
Brown uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Murosaki.
Murosaki is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Murosaki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brown circles away quickly and effectively.
Brown lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Brown throws a combination. Murosaki tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Murosaki shoots in but no luck this time.
A head kick misses from Brown.
Brown lands a leg kick that knocks Murosaki off balance momentarily.

Brown lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Murosaki has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
No joy there for Brown, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Murosaki takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Brown fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Murosaki.
Murosaki uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brown.
Brown throws a low kick but Murosaki moves out of range easily.
A punch lands to the side of Brown 's head but he takes it in his stride.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Brown.
Koji Murosaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brown shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Murosaki manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Brown is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Murosaki is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Brown is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jack Brown just wasn't active enough.

Murosaki is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Brown had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Murosaki scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Brown doesn't seem bothered though.

Brown shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Brown was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brown has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Murosaki is trying to control Brown's posture but Brown avoids it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Koji Murosaki will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Brown drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Brown seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Murosaki for as long as he can get away with.

Brown wants to control from the top but Murosaki keeps moving.

Murosaki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brown doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brown manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Brown might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Brown keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Murosaki's head.

Murosaki chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Brown can pounce on him.

Murosaki's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Brown displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Murosaki.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Brown connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Murosaki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brown was well out of range. Poor timing from Murosaki.
Murosaki walks into a jab.
Brown lands a nice shot that snaps Murosaki's head back.

Brown fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Murosaki is still on wobbly legs! Can Brown finish him?
Brown fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Murosaki is breathing heavily.
Brown throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Brown lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Murosaki up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Brown from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Murosaki's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jack Brown!
An out of breath Jack Brown thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
