And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Stone!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy body kick from Stone
and Barnes counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
A decent looking cross lands there for Stone.
Stone throws a hook but Barnes blocks it.
Barnes scores with a jab.
Stone misses the jab.
A jab lands there for Barnes.
Barnes seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Stone throws a left and a right that both miss
and Barnes counters with a nice body shot.
Stone throws a hook but Barnes avoids it easily.
Barnes avoids the head kick by Stone.
Stone misses with an uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Stone rushes Barnes and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

It looks like Chris Stone has been cut.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Stone has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Barnes drops Stone onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Stone is propped up by the ropes and works his way back to his feet!
Barnes with the Thai clinch, moves his hips back and unleashes a brutal knee to the head! Stone drops to the mat in a crumpled heap! Huuuuuuge knee there! WOW!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Frankie Barnes!

Post fight, Frankie Barnes took to the microphone: 'I watched Stone give that vicious head kick before my fight at AFLC 64 and I knew I would meet up with him sooner or later. I want to thank him for the opportunity to fight him and I want to thank the fans for all the support you have given.'.
