The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie with a poor takedown
and Dos Santos counters with a stiff right hand.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gracie.

Gracie wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dos Santos, who protects the arm well.
Dos Santos is looking to reverse the position.

Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Gracie goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Dos Santos has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gracie but great work by Dos Santos.
Gracie tries to improve position but can't.

Dos Santos uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gracie has time to react.
Dos Santos is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Rayce Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dos Santos cracks Gracie with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
