Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hao Wang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Rude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wang moves into the clinch.
The referee calls for Wang to work.
Wang blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Wang tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Wang tries to pull guard but Rude forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Rude tries to break free but Wang pushes him back against the cage.

Rude tries to break the clinch but Wang is controlling the position.

Wang's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wang shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rude sprawls well. Rude wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wang gets slowly back to his feet.

Rude lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wang circles away quickly and effectively.
Rude has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Rude lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Wang sprawling to the canvas. Rude follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Wang hang on?

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Wang flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Rude looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Wang trying to hold on to Rude's head to control him but Rude postures up.
Rude throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Rude not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Wang wants to control but Rude is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Wang wants to improve his position but Rude is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wang has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rude is working away from the top position though.

Rude is looking to advance position but Wang won't allow it.

Rude really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wang. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Wang is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Wang tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rude sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wang somewhat.
Wang jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Rude drops Wang with a left right combo! Rude follows him down to the ground into side control.
Oh Wang is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

It looks like Hao Wang has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rude lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Wang! Rude senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Wang out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!
