Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dell Lloyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Talbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lloyd comes to the cage accompanied by Ashes, Ashes. Dell Lloyd could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Sam Talbert's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dell Lloyd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Talbert!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Columbo Gatti and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lloyd has closed the distance and engaged Talbert in a clinch.
Talbert is looking to take this one to the mat.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Talbert.
Lloyd tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Lloyd trying to land knees to the body.
Lloyd landing knees to the head.
Lloyd lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Lloyd breaks the clinch.
Nice defenses there by Talbert.
Talbert tries to bum rush Lloyd with a series of wild strikes but Lloyd uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Lloyd rushes Talbert and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Talbert has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lloyd avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Lloyd digs a right hand into Talbert's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Talbert's gas tank.
Talbert wants to take the fight to the mat but Lloyd manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Dell Lloyd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Talbert.
Lloyd gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Talbert goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lloyd prevents it.
Lloyd comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lloyd lands a knee to the head.
Talbert goes for a takedown attempt but Lloyd pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Talbert avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dell Lloyd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lloyd throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Talbert shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Talbert showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Talbert controlling the action here.
Lloyd is trying to stand up here but Talbert is controlling him well.

Talbert is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Talbert is working for a submission of some sort.
Talbert looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Talbert working over Lloyd with some ground and pound. Lloyd looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Talbert is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Talbert is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Well, if Talbert is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Lloyd is looking for a sweep. Talbert is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Talbert seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Lloyd tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Talbert manages to move to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lloyd is bucking up trying to escape but Talbert cracks him with another couple of good strikes.


It looks like Dell Lloyd has been cut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Talbert looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Lloyd covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sam Talbert!
