The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem throws an overhand right that lands on Speed's shoulder, as Speed tries to avoid the shot.
Overeem tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Speed was well out of range. Poor timing from Overeem.
Speed looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Overeem!
Overeem is looking to reverse the position.

Overeem is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Speed gets his way!

Overeem throws a low kick, looking for Speed's leg but Speed calmly moves out of range.

Overeem connects with a good right hand that stumbles Speed. Speed circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Speed.
Speed smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Overeem thumps Speed with a low kick.
Speed stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Overeem.
Titus Overeem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Speed has taken the fight to the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Overeem's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Speed shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Speed. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Overeem fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Speed checks it well.
Speed dives in for a single leg takedown but Overeem sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Overeem is trying to break free.
Speed is trying to pull guard but Overeem turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Speed changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Overeem fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Speed moves in looking to clinch but Overeem pushes him off.
Speed takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Speed fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Overeem manages to avoid it.
Overeem lands a jab.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Overeem - that will leave a mark!
Speed looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Overeem tries to work over Speed's front leg with a kick but Speed checks it.
Tyson Speed is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Speed takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Titus Overeem seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Speed takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Speed shoots in but Overeem avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Overeem lands a big head kick that sends Speed tumbling to the mat! Overeem takes a step backwards and waves Speed back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Speed is rocked!
It looks like Tyson Speed has been cut.
Speed stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Overeem.
Speed tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Speed takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Overeem and Speed are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Overeem throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Speed into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Overeem knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
