Hess comes to the ring accompanied by Curl Of The Burl. Jon Hess could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tonichie Hong's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Hess.
Hess scores with a shot to the body.
Hess fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hong is out of range.
Hong stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hess.
Hong misses with a left hand
and Hess counters with a thumping low kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hong walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hess.
Hong looks winded!
Hong misses with a lunging right hand

and Hess counters with a lead uppercut that lands right on the button! Hong goes down! Will Hong beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's up! No problem. Let's get back to the action!

It looks like Tonichie Hong has been cut.
Hess bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Hong throws a shot from downtown. Hess moves away and avoids it.
Hess fails to land with a series of punches.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hong crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hess - the referee stops the clock and Hong gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hess. Hong manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Hess lands a leg kick that knocks Hong off balance momentarily.

Hong's coach down at Mandirigmang Pilipino was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hong's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Hess lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Hess cracks Hong with a big uppercut, right up the middle and Hong goes down! Oh, he's hurt! He's bigtime hurt! The referee is giving him a chance to get back to his feet - 4,5,6,7, no, he's called it off! Hong wasn't going to make it and the fight is over!
