Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Westworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Boulder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boulder has chosen Voodoo Child as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boulder looks to clinch
and Westworth counters with a stiff right hand.
Boulder fails to land with a series of punches.
Westworth scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Westworth feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Boulders jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Boulder throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice takedown defense from Westworth. No joy for Boulder on that attempt.
Boulder tries to close the distance and clinch up but Westworth swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Boulder pushes Westworth up against the cage in a clinch.

Boulder takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Westworth stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Westworth wants it to stay on the feet.

Alex Boulder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boulder closes the distance but Westworth moves to the side

Westworth keeps the fight on the outside.
Westworth throws a series of strikes that have Boulder backpedaling.

Westworth tries to bum rush Boulder with a series of wild strikes but Boulder uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Westworth throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Westworth slaps away a takedown attempt from Boulder, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Boulder shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Westworth as he avoids it easily.

Boulder throws a front kick aimed at Westworth's knee but Westworth avoids it well.

and Westworth makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Boulder looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Boulder throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Boulder misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No joy there for Boulder, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Boulder doesn't manage to clinch there - Westworth circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Westworth counters with a left and a right... And another left! Boulder is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!

After the fight, Matt Westworth was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
