PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Osko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Agogo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Osko comes to the cage accompanied by Sabotage. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Josh Osko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Hugo Agogo!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osko throws a nice looking combination but Agogo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Osko gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Agogo to counter with a crisp jab.

Osko drives through with a takedown into Agogo's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Agogo is adopting a defensive guard.
Osko controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Agogo wants to sweep but no luck.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Agogo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Agogo working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Agogo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Osko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Agogo has managed to get both his arms back between Osko's legs - danger averted.

Osko drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Agogo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Osko has Agogo in his guard.

Agogo is looking to take a break and control but Osko is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Agogo creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Osko is trying to control Agogo's posture but Agogo avoids it.

Agogo steps into range and cracks Osko with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Osko flops backwards and Agogo dives into his guard looking to finish!

During a confident post fight interview, Hugo Agogo thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
