The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rock's corner calls for a 1-2. Rock obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Thomas Johnson has been cut.
Johnson moves out of range as Rock strikes.

Johnson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Rock fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Johnson manages to avoid it.

Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rock's waist but Rock gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Johnson thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Johnson seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Tsa Rock has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but Rock sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rock stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Johnson.
Rock's coach down at Sensei Sens`s Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Rock's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Rock loads up on a big right hand but Johnson slips the punch.

Johnson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Good leg kick by Rock there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
