Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kezz The Convict (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kullervo Orvokki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Convict comes to the cage accompanied by Locked up. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kezz The Convict!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kullervo Orvokki!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Franklyn Lucas and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Convict needs to keep his hands up - Orvokki had a free shot at his head there.
The Convict tries to score a power double leg takedown but Orvokki sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten The Convict somewhat.
Orvokki throws a nice looking combination but The Convict bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The Convict throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Orvokki was covering up waiting for the punch and The Convict finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The Convict trying to control the position from guard on top but Orvokki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The Convict stays in close to Orvokki's body and controls the position.
The Convict stands up over Orvokki, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Orvokki is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Orvokki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with The Convict. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Orvokki wants to stand and escape but The Convict is having none of it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Orvokki can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Orvokki defends well against a solid takedown attempt from The Convict.

The Convict closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Orvokki has hold of The Convict's hands but The Convict slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Orvokki pushes The Convict off looking to stand but The Convict dives back in and keeps control.

The Convict stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Orvokki to get to his feet.

The Convict looks up at the clock and then as Orvokki takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, The Convict smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The Convict lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Orvokki is still in real trouble! Can The Convict finish him?

The Convict is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Orvokki has managed to free his arm - good work.
The Convict takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The Convict seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Orvokki seems to have recovered his senses.
The Convict is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The Convict takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The Convict has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The Convict is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The Convict lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

The Convict is working for a kimura but Orvokki is defending it quite comfortably.

The Convict jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Orvokki manages to avoid the submission attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The Convict cracks Orvokki with a big right hand but Orvokki just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The Convict is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Orvokki knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
