Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kuroda Atsushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malaipet Sasiprapa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sasiprapa has chosen Malaipet the Diamond as his entrance music. Malaipet Sasiprapa will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kuroda Atsushi!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Malaipet Sasiprapa!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atsushi throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Atsushi tries a low kick but Sasiprapa avoids it.
Sasiprapa motions for Atsushi to come forward. Sasiprapa throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Sasiprapa tries to work over Atsushi's front leg with a kick but Atsushi checks it.
Atsushi throws the left hand but Sasiprapa avoids the punch easily.
Atsushi throws out a leg kick but Sasiprapa moves out of range and Atsushi only half commits.
Sasiprapa comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Atsushi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kuroda Atsushi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sasiprapa thows a body kick. Atsushi tries to catch it but that hurt him.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sasiprapa has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

I would just about give that final round to Malaipet Sasiprapa.
Well Sasiprapa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
