Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Knife (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henderson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, American Bad Ass. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knife fails to land the takedown.
Henderson scores with a jab to the head.

and Henderson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Knife just misses with a punch to the body.

Henderson drives through and clinches with Knife against the ropes.

Henderson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Knife's elbow.
Henderson is trying to drag Knife to the mat but Knife just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.

I was talking to Henderson's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Henderson has hold of one of Knife's legs. Knife is fighting the takedown attempt but Henderson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jack Knife wasn't active enough on the ground.
Knife tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Knife closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Henderson goes for a takedown attempt but Knife pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Knife stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Henderson.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
