Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Erik Gustafsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitry Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gustafsson comes to the cage accompanied by The Prodigy - Omen. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Volkov throws a body kick that misses.
Gustafsson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Gustafsson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Volkov scores with a body shot.
Volkov checks a low kick from Gustafsson.
Volkov misses with a looping left.
Volkov attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Volkov digs a good body shot into Gustafsson's ribs.
Volkov throws a hook but Gustafsson blocks it.
Gustafsson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gustafsson feints and then cracks Volkov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Volkov down.
Gustafsson scores with a nice right hand.
Volkov misses with a head kick.
Volkov connects with a single shot there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A looping hook to the body misses from Volkov. Gustafsson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Volkov misses with a low kick.
Volkov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gustafsson was well out of range. Poor timing from Volkov.
Volkov blocks the body kick.
Gustafsson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Volkov throws a lazy right hand but Gustafsson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Volkov misses with a double jab.
Nice straight punches there by Gustafsson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gustafsson.
Gustafsson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Volkov goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Gustafsson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Volkov to score with a decent uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gustafsson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Volkov tries to clinch but Gustafsson moves away
and Gustafsson counters with a nice leg kick.
Gustafsson takes a shot right to the bread basket.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Volkov shoots in for a takedown but Gustafsson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Volkov counters with a straight right hand.
Gustafsson misses with a leg kick.
Gustafsson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Gustafsson is rocked!
Volkov throws a head kick that misses.
Oh Gustafsson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Are you kidding me?! Volkov ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Gustafsson clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
