Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Coco Cobb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kira Miyata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miyata is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by NANO - no pain, no game. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Kira Miyata enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Coco Cobb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kira Miyata!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cobb scores with a head kick. Miyata tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


It looks like Kira Miyata has been cut.
Cobb tries to score a power double leg takedown but Miyata sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cobb somewhat.
Coco Cobb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cobb has Miyata up against the cage in a clinch.

Miyata has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cobb uses from the top position.

Cobb controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Coco Cobb just wasn't active enough.

Cobb knocks Miyata to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cobb taking a breather here.
Cobb wants to lay and pray for a moment but Miyata keeps working.
Miyata has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

You can see the frustration on Miyata's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Cobb tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cobb has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cobb tries to stand but Miyata controls the position and pulls Cobb into his guard.

Miyata is looking for a triangle here but Cobb uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miyata gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Cobb is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Cobb trying to pass the guard but Miyata defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Miyata is trying to get back to full guard.
Miyata is staying active underneath Cobb, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Cobb is thwarting Miyata's attempts to control the position.
Miyata is looking for a sweep. Cobb is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Miyata regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Cobb.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Miyata looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Cobb is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Coco Cobb.
Cobb tries to close the distance and clinch but Miyata swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cobb fails with an attempt to clinch.
Miyata blocks a head kick by Cobb.
Cobb darts in looking for a takedown but Miyata gets double underhooks and turns Cobb into the cage.
Cobb connects with a nasty looking knee right to Miyata's face.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Miyata effectively controlling the action here.

Miyata successfully pulls guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Coco Cobb dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kira Miyata's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Cobb throws a head kick that misses.

Cobb moves into the clinch.
Cobb lands a knee to the head.
Cobb with a knee to the head.

Miyata has Cobb pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Miyata pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Cobb tumbling to the mat - Miyata dives into Cobb's guard.
Cobb is trying to keep Miyata in close.
Miyata trying to control the position from guard on top but Cobb is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Miyata is posturing up here but Cobb has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Miyata tries to roll out but it's too tight and Miyata has to tap! Slick submission there by Cobb!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Coco Cobb!
Coco Cobb bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
