Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ben Dover!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dover works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Jones staying out of range there.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dover tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ben Dover seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt
and Jones makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Dover really felt that one!
Jones tries to land a front kick but Dover steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
The crowd cheers as Jones lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dover doesn't seem phased though.
Jones thows a body shot but no joy.
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Dover misses with a hook. Jones ducked under it nicely.
Jones has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Nice body kick from Jones.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dover tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dover looks to land a combination. Jones sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


It looks like James Jones has been cut.
Jones lands a jab to Dover's midsection.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A slapping leg kick lands for Jones.
Dover looks winded!
Dover tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Jones connects with a leg kick. Dover looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Dover on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Dover covering up! Jones comes in with a big uppercut and Dover goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). James Jones!
