Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
35 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pertti Rauta!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone throws a leg kick but Rauta moved away.
Stone lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Stone slips a jab from Rauta.
Rauta throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Sean Stone has been cut.
Stone throws a looping overhand right but Rauta ducks down to avoid it.
Stone needs to keep his hands up - Rauta had a free shot at his head there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A chopping leg kick lands by Stone.
Rauta has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Stone lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Stone throws a chopping leg kick but Rauta manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Rauta throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Stone finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Rauta's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Rauta duly obliges.
Stone misses with a straight right.
Stone throws a jab when Rauta was well out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stone throws a push kick but Rauta slaps the foot to one side.
Stone pivots, looking for a leg kick but Rauta is out of range and Stone settles back down.
Stone throws a leg kick but Rauta sees it coming and moves out of range.
Rauta misses with a low kick.
A low kick from Stone misses
and Rauta counters with a head kick that drops Stone to the mat! Stone scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Stone is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rauta closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Stone! Rauta dives in looking to finish! Stone is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pertti Rauta!
