Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Borgen Stein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Hope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stein comes to the cage accompanied by 'Don't Believe the Hype', by Public Enemy.. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hope avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hope misses the jab.
Hope shoots for a double leg takedown but Stein sprawls well. He's pushed Hope's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hope shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stein pinned against the cage. Stein gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Stein jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Hope shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stein as he avoids it easily.
We've been told by Stein's head coaches at The Immortals Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Borgen Stein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Terry Hope.
Hope is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stein sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Stein swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Hope counters with a takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hope wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stein, who protects the arm well.
Stein is not content to let Hope control the position.

Hope is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stein knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Hope is looking to take a break and control but Stein is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Stein might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hope goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Stein has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hope but great work by Stein.
Hope is trying to escape the position but Stein is controlling the position.
Stein knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hope on the ground.

Stein wants to take a breather but Hope manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Stein.

Hope is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Stein is aware though and is defending well.
Hope is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hope is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Stein frees his head nicely. Oh but Hope has switched to an armbar! Stein is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
