Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Evandro Santos!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter wants to land a leg kick but Santos is out of range.
Carter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Santos, pushing him back against the cage.
Santos with a knee to the head.
It looks like Aaron Carter has been cut.
Santos is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Carter pulls him back up using the underhooks.
A frustrated look appears on Carter's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Santos with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Santos is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Santos avoids the elbow strike from Carter, against the cage.
Santos with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Carter jumps guard but Santos stands there with Carter around his waist. Carter gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Carter is breathing heavily.
Santos has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Carter after a bit of a struggle.
Aaron Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evandro Santos.
Santos lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Carter is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Carter gets underhooks to prevent Santos's takedown attempt.
Santos tries for a takedown but Carter manages to get underhooks.
Santos tries a knee to the head but Carter blocks it.
Santos with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Carter throws an elbow but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Carter wants the takedown. Santos is fighting it off but Carter persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Santos's guard against the cage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Carter wants to stand but Santos is controlling his posture from full guard.
Carter trying to control but Santos is working from the bottom.
Santos is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Carter frees his head nicely. Oh but Santos has switched to an armbar! Carter is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
