The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurl tries to bum rush Makarenko with a series of wild strikes but Makarenko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Makarenko pushes Hurl away with a front kick.
Hurl wants to clinch
and Makarenko cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Makarenko lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hurl takes a step back to recover.
Hurl looks winded!
Hurl shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Makarenko lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Makarenko fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hurl.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Makarenko! Hurl is out on his feet! Makarenko rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Hurl is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Hurl is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

A relieved looking Cyril Makarenko thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
