Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alysian Karalis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Madrigal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karalis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is High Hopes by Pink Floyd. Madrigal has chosen Lil Jon-Throw it Up as his entrance music. Julio Madrigal has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alysian Karalis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Julio Madrigal!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Madrigal throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Karalis was covering up waiting for the punch and Madrigal finishes the takedown easily into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Karalis is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Madrigal throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Madrigal accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Madrigal might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

That was a close second round but I would say that Alysian Karalis will probably get the nod.
