The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perrera misses with a wild body shot.

Mthembe connects with a leg kick. Perrera looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Mthembe tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Perrera was well out of range. Poor timing from Mthembe.
Gavin Mthembe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perrera throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Helio Perrera hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
