Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mingi Tyyp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tero Siren!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyyp ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Tyyp wants to clinch
and Siren counters with a nice uppercut.
Siren lands a really nice looking cross but Tyyp seems unphased.
Tyyp tries to clinch
and Siren counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tyyp won't be happy with that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Siren is working to tighten his grip on Tyyp's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Tyyp has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Siren is really squeezing tight and eventually Tyyp passes out! Siren breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
