Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gopal Grand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grand tries a head kick but it misses.
Grand fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Machine shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Grand sprawls well. Grand wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Machine gets slowly back to his feet.

and Grand counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Machine!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Grand walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Machine shoots in for a double leg but Grand sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Grand jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Machine walks away with a smile on his face. Grand gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Machine lunges at Grand with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Grand's hand.
Grand swats away the attempt to clinch by Machine.
Machine goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Machine clinches up against the cage.
Grand changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Machine fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Machine shoots in for a takedown but Grand shows good takedown defense.
Machine shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Machine was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Machine is breathing heavily.
Grand tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Machine wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Machine is looking to take a break and control but Grand is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Grand is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Machine off and has taken his back!

Grand knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Machine on the ground.
Machine breaks Grand's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Grand wants to break free but Machine has control.
Machine jumps into guard, dragging Grand to the mat.

Rock Machine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Grand has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Machine can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rock Machine comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Machine has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
