Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brelis Farring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anzhor Azhiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Azhiev moves into the clinch.

Azhiev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Azhiev throws a one two combo.

Azhiev gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Azhiev turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Farring is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Farring is looking for a sweep. Azhiev is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Farring looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Farring tries to get to full guard but Azhiev has control of the leg.

Farring is defending against the submission attempts here by Azhiev.
Azhiev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Farring. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Farring wants to get back to full guard.
Azhiev wants to stand but Farring has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Farring works his way to full guard. Good work.

Farring is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Azhiev defends well.

Azhiev drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Azhiev jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Farring is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Azhiev is aware though and is defending well.
Azhiev passes Farring's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Azhiev is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Azhiev is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Farring is just riding it out for now. Azhiev eventually gives up the hold.
Farring is pressing down on Azhiev's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Farring had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Azhiev defends it easily.

Azhiev has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Farring to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Azhiev is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Farring pulls down on the head and he's put Azhiev to sleep! This one is all over!
