The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flodder throws a combination. Lemieux tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Flodder throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lemieux.
Flodder looks to land a combination but Lemieux avoids it well.

Flodder throws a series of punches but Lemieux moves out of range.
Flodder takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Lemieux connects with a leg kick. Flodder looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Lemieux tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Kees Flodder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lemieux cracks a nice hook into Flodder's ribs.
Lemieux scores with the left hand. Flodder knows he should have avoided that one.
Flodder has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lemieux throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Flodder stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Lemieux follows into mount!

Lemieux cracks Flodder with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

A relieved looking Ron Lemieux thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
