Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Diego Lopez!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez just misses with a punch to the body.
Kurikka throws a series of strikes that have Lopez backpedaling.
Kurikka dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kurikka throws a looping overhand right but Lopez ducks down to avoid it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lopez has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Kurikka lands with a nice body punch.

Kurikka is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Chaos MMA that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Lopez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Kurikka wants to improve his position but Lopez is controlling well.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Diego Lopez was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Kurikka slaps away a takedown attempt from Lopez, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Kurikka smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Kurikka looks to land a right hand but Lopez moved out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Kurikka. That snapped Lopez's head back.
Lopez slips a straight right by Kurikka.
Lopez avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kurikka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lopez manages to avoid it.
Riku Kurikka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kurikka ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Lopez out cold! The fight is over!
