Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Genghis Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Kyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Genghis Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathan Kyle!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyle keeps Khan at a distance using the push kick.
Khan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kyle.

Khan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kyle, pushing him back against the cage.
Kyle dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Khan is pushing Kyle up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Khan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kyle pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Kyle's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kyle lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Kyle throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Kyle lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Khan backs up against the cage.
Nathan Kyle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Khan fails with the takedown.
A slow jab from Khan misses its intended target.
Kyle scores with a kick to the body.
Kyle closes the distance and lands a one-two.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kyle fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Khan.
Kyle pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kyle tries to land a front kick but Khan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Khan scores with a takedown into Kyle's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kyle trying to keep a closed guard but Khan is proving a slippery customer.
Khan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Khan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Khan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Kyle is looking to stand up but Khan isn't so interested in that idea.
Khan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Khan is working Kyle over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Khan trying to control the position from guard on top but Kyle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khan is in close to Kyle's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Khan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Kyle wants to hit a switch here but Khan passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Kyle there!
We've been hearing that Khan has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Khan scoring with strikes but Kyle is staying in there.
Khan trying to control but Kyle is having none of it.
Khan avoids the attempt from Kyle to control.

Kyle is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Khan with shots to the head and body - Kyle looks very uncomfortable down there.
Kyle is working to get back to half guard.
Khan cracks Kyle with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Khan is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kyle is surviving well by controlling Khan's body position as best he can.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Khan lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Khan has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kyle's face.

Khan is working for a guillotine from mount but Kyle frees his head quite easily.
Khan breaks from Kyle's wrist control and lands an elbow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kyle tries to hold on but Khan pushes him away.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Kyle is in all sorts of trouble here.
Khan looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Khan in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Kyle really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Kyle wants to control but Khan is having none of it.
Khan is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Kyle is bucking up trying to escape but Khan cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kyle is in a horrible position here. Khan smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Kyle keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kyle is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Khan cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!


Kyle is rocked!
Khan in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Genghis Khan dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kyle punishes Khan's body with a nice straight punch.
Kyle fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Kyle thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Khan if he has to take too many more of those.
Khan moves out of range as Kyle throws a body kick.
Kyle lands with a kick to the ribs.
Kyle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Khan manages to avoid it.
Kyle plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Kyle connects with a solid leg kick.
Kyle lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Khan at a distance.
A head kick misses from Kyle.
Kyle stuffs the takedown attempt from Khan. Khan gets slowly back to his feet.
Kyle keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Khan avoids the head kick by Kyle.
Both fighters circling a little - Kyle finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kyle throws a front kick that sends Khan stumbling back into the cage.
Nathan Kyle seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Khan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kyle sprawls well. Kyle wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Khan gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Genghis Khan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kyle explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Kyle pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kyle scoring well with a low kick there.
Kyle lands a nice looking kick to the body. Khan takes a step back to recover.
Kyle smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Kyle keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kyle tries a head kick but it misses.
Khan takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
A thudding body kick lands there by Kyle!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Kyle.
Kyle feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Khan's calf.

Kyle scores with a sloppy right hand. Khan should have avoided that one.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Khan takes a kick to the side of the head.
Khan tries to close the distance and clinch but Kyle swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Khan is looking to clinch but Kyle is avoiding it.
Kyle lands a nice looking body kick.
A combination from Kyle does no damage.

Khan closes the distance and clinches.
Kyle trying to control the position but instead, Khan has worked for underhooks and has pushed Kyle into the cage.
Kyle is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Khan is looking for a takedown.
Khan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Khan is struggling to control the position.
Kyle is struggling to control the position.

Khan can't get the takedown.
Khan tries for a takedown but Kyle manages to get underhooks.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Khan is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Nathan Kyle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Kyle looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kyle throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Khan's head.
Khan is looking to clinch but Kyle is avoiding it.
Kyle scores with a hook to the body. Khan takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Kyle lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Kyle thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Khan if he has to take too many more of those.
Kyle lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Kyle fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Khan on the side of the head.
Kyle thumps Khan with a low kick.
Kyle is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Khan rather than just go for the knockout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kyle misses with a wild body shot.
Khan takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Khan moves into the clinch successfully.
Khan's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Khan pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Khan gets control of Kyle's arms and successfully pulls guard. Khan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Kyle trying to control but Khan is working from the bottom.
Kyle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Khan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kyle must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Khan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Kyle wants to control from the top but Khan keeps moving.
Khan is pulling down on Kyle's head to control his posture.

Nathan Kyle has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Kyle throws a front kick that sends Khan stumbling back into the cage.
Kyle buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kyle looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Khan darts in and clinches Kyle up against the cage.
Khan taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Khan tries to score a body lock takedown but Kyle shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Khan.
Khan is trying to pull guard but Kyle has him pressed against the cage.

Kyle wants to get back to striking at distance but Khan won't allow it.
Khan goes for a takedown attempt but Kyle pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Genghis Khan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kyle fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Khan looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kyle throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Kyle lands a nice shot to the body.
Khan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Khan will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Danga de danga de dang - Kyle scores with a four punch combination!
Kyle lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Kyle pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kyle explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kyle.
Kyle looks for the body kick but Khan saw that one coming.
Kyle throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kyle circles away from the clinch attempt.
A head kick from Kyle lands but Khan takes it in his stride.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kyle enables Khan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kyle manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Khan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kyle looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Kyle looking for a sweep. Not yet Kyle, not yet.
Kyle takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Khan connects with a couple of short punches.
Kyle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Khan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kyle pulls Khan in close to his closed guard and prevents Khan from doing any damage or advancing position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nathan Kyle was stalling too much, according to the referee.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nathan Kyle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Kyle has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
