The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Geiger lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Mewes throws a right and a left that Geiger avoids nicely.

Geiger shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mewes defends it nicely.

Geiger rushes Mewes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Mewes wants to break the clinch but can't.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Geiger. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Geiger keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mewes's efforts to push away.

Geiger shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mewes sprawls well. Mewes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Geiger gets slowly back to his feet.

Geiger got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mewes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Geiger has managed to get both his arms back between Mewes's legs - danger averted.

Geiger decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Mewes lands with a hook. Geiger tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Geiger shoots in looking for a takedown but Mewes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Geiger's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Jason Mewes decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
