Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tom Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davey Steeves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tom Jones has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steeves on the wrong end of a nice jab.

and Jones counters with a good, hard body kick but Steeves shrugs it off.

Steeves wants to slow Jones down by chopping away at his legs.
Jones keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jones dips to his left and cracks Steeves with an uppercut!
Steeves moves forwards but Jones connects with a nice, crisp jab.
A decent looking cross lands there for Jones.

Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Steeves swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Steeves rushes Jones and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Steeves jumps guard but Jones stands there with Steeves around his waist. Steeves gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Jones lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Steeves backwards.

Steeves tightens his grip and picks Jones up, before dumping him to the ground. Jones manages to land in guard.
Steeves stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jones pulls Steeves in close to prevent any damage.

Steeves pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Jones wants to stand but Steeves is controlling his posture from full guard.

Steeves looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Jones puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Jones tries to pass the half guard into mount. Steeves knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Steeves avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jones.
Jones lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jones throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Steeves is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jones has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Steeves shoots in but no luck this time.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones digs a right hand underneath Steeves's ribcage. Steeves let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Jones lands a hook that snaps the head of Steeves backwards.

Steeves is rocked!
Jones dips a shoulder and cracks Steeves with a mighty uppercut! Steeves falls back against the cage and Jones unloads with a barrage of strikes! Steeves is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Jones screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
