Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kuai Liang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sai Fukuta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liang comes into the arena with So Cold by Breaking Benjamin blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kuai Liang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sai Fukuta!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fukuta shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Liang pinned against the cage. Liang gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Liang leaves Fukuta with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fukuta tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Liang swivels and escapes.
Kuai Liang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sai Fukuta.
Liang tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Liang gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Liang tries to work over Fukuta's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Fukuta ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fukuta no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Fukuta shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Liang but Liang pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Fukuta tries to score a power double leg takedown but Liang sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fukuta somewhat.

Horrible takedown by Fukuta or perhaps it was just good defense by Liang which made him look bad.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fukuta has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Liang has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

This has been an exciting period of action!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fukuta is defended easily by Liang.
A slapping body kick lands there for Liang.
Liang looks to throw the jab but Fukuta is out of range.
Liang lands a lovely overhand right.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Fukuta crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Liang - the referee stops the clock and Fukuta gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Liang. Fukuta manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Liang moves in looking to clinch but Fukuta pushes him off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Liang, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
