Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Rogers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Johnson!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rogers as he jumps to the side.
Rogers is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
Johnson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Rogers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Johnson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Johnson counters by clinching up.

Johnson has picked Rogers up - he's going for a ride! Johnson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Rogers is trying to get back to full guard.
Johnson prevents Rogers from standing back up.
Rogers is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Johnson scores with a couple of nice shots.
Johnson content to control rather than advance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
It looks like Johnson is going to stand back up.

Rogers is looking to control Johnson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rogers avoid being mounted?

Rogers wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance.

Johnson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Johnson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Johnson wants it to stay on the feet.

Johnson is trying to control. Rogers wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Jack Johnson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Johnson has taken the fight to the clinch.

Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rogers shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rogers fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Johnson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Rogers is positioning himself well to prevent Johnson advancing to mount.
Rogers looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rogers had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Johnson defends it easily.

Rogers has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Johnson is working away from the top position though.

Jack Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Johnson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Johnson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Rogers wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rogers looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Horrible takedown by Rogers or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson which made him look bad.
Sam Rogers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
