Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Janusz Lanus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kuristaja Make!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lanus uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Make.
Lanus tries to clinch
and Make counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Lanus is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lanus fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A looping hook to the body misses from Make. Lanus does a little dance to reset his feet.
Make connects with a single shot there.
Make circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lanus throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Janusz Lanus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Make tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lanus was well out of range. Poor timing from Make.
Lanus rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Make moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Make cracks Lanus with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Lanus tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Make pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Lanus is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kuristaja Make!
