Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Lazarus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Taphorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Taphorn!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taphorn just misses with a punch to the body.
Lazarus avoids the body shot from Taphorn.
Lazarus feints and then cracks Taphorn's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Taphorn down.

Taphorn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lazarus has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Taphorn has managed to get both his arms back between Lazarus's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Kirk Lazarus will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A relieved looking Kirk Lazarus thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Peter Taphorn spoke after the fight, saying 'I'd like to blame Duphus for this loss. My opponent was so much taller I needed his gangly, crack head Larry Bird looking ass to help me train. I just wish he would bathe more. His hair smells like a spittoon in a low-class Bangkok whorehouse. His back is as hairy as a newborn chimp. it was bad'.
