PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Castiel Angel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ugor Makinwa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Angel comes to the cage accompanied by Carry on my wayward son. Ugor Makinwa will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angel throws a head kick that misses.
Angel cracks Makinwa with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Makinwa defending well as Angel loads up on a big left hand.
Angel digs a good hook to Makinwa's body.
Angel throws a hook but Makinwa blocks it.
Angel connects with a good right hand that stumbles Makinwa. Makinwa circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

so Angel counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Angel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Makinwa moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Castiel Angel will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Angel shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Makinwa is trying to defend but Angel finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Makinwa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Angel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Makinwa has momentary wrist control but Angel slips an elbow through the middle.
Angel throws a strike but Makinwa rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Makinwa wants to get up but he can't break Angel's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Angel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ugor Makinwa hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Angel dives in for a single leg takedown but Makinwa sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Makinwa walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Angel drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Makinwa swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Angel's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
