Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dwight Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Koji Yano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koji Yano has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dwight Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Koji Yano!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yano loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch.
Jones on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Yano. Yano obviously looking to wear him down.
Yano should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

so Jones counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

The referee asks Jones politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jones prefers to stall for the moment though.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Yano, as that shot connected.

Jones has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jones there as he acknowledges the shot.
Yano turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Yano feints and then cracks Jones's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jones down.

Yano tries to score with a low kick but Jones moves his leg out of the way.
Yano shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Yano tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance.
Yano's corner calls for a 1-2. Yano obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Yano lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jones has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jones and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Jones is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Yano moves into the clinch.
Yano is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jones is defending well for now.

Yano wants to get back to striking at distance but Jones won't allow it.
Jones has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Yano avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Yano's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Koji Yano showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Yano swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jones.

We're going to have a standup here because Dwight Jones wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Yano shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Koji Yano comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Yano has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
