Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fred Durst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naruto Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durst comes to the cage accompanied by Hot Dog. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fred Durst!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Naruto Sakuraba!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durst with a poor takedown
and Sakuraba counters with a stiff right hand.
Sakuraba takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Durst throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sakuraba moves into range and clinches up with Durst.
Durst goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sakuraba prevents it.
Sakuraba jumps guard and drags Durst to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Sakuraba pushes Durst off and scrambles back to his feet.
Sakuraba shoots in and gets a takedown into Durst's guard.
Sakuraba makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Durst knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sakuraba on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sakuraba keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Durst's head.
Durst is looking to stand back up but Sakuraba counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Durst.

Sakuraba seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Durst on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Durst tries to get out of the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Durst is staying active underneath Sakuraba, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Sakuraba slips a nice elbow through Durst's hands, connecting with Durst's forehead.
Still in half guard, Sakuraba seems content to control.
Sakuraba looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Durst looks like he's trying to stand up.
Durst tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Sakuraba manages to move to mount!
Sakuraba looking to control but Durst is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Durst wants to try and get back to his feet.
Durst takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Sakuraba's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Naruto Sakuraba really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Vitality logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
