The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sparrrrrow throws a front kick aimed at De Jesus's knee but De Jesus avoids it well.
Sparrrrrow misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
De Jesus lands a slapping body shot.
Sparrrrrow tries for a takedown but De Jesus sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Sparrrrrow throws a lazy right hand but De Jesus sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sparrrrrow shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has De Jesus pinned against the cage. De Jesus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
De Jesus paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Sparrrrrow drops back looking for a leg! De Jesus is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and De Jesus manages to kick Sparrrrrow off! Sparrrrrow jumps back into De Jesus's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if De Jesus can do anything to dispel that myth.
De Jesus wants to stand but Sparrrrrow is controlling the position.

Sparrrrrow wants to control from the top but De Jesus keeps moving.
Sparrrrrow is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jack Sparrrrrow.
Sparrrrrow throws a push kick but De Jesus slaps the foot to one side.

Sparrrrrow closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. De Jesus quickly recovers to half guard.

Sparrrrrow is looking to take a break and control but De Jesus is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

De Jesus has left one of his arms exposed and Sparrrrrow doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. De Jesus screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
