Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tebato Nakara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yonder Alonso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alonso lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Alonso steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Nakara. That one must have hurt.
Nakara tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alonso swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Alonso misses with a body shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Alonso misses the target.
Nakara lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nakara throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Alonso fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Alonso throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Alonso thuds his right hand into Nakara's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Yonder Alonso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nakara is trying to trip Alonso. He has hold of a leg but Alonso is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Nakara persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Nakara stands up from Alonso's guard - Nakara perhaps looking for a knockout.
Nakara thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Alonso if he has to take too many more of those.

Nakara has been working on his balance at Lock and Roll Grappling Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Alonso.

Alonso moves into range and clinches up with Nakara.

Nakara creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Alonso's defenses.

Nakara has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Alonso regains guard immediately.

Alonso is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Nakara presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Alonso tries to keep at a distance but Nakara has taken the fight into the clinch.

Nakara turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Nakara manages to end up in side control.
Alonso is trying to control Nakara's posture but Nakara avoids it.
Nakara is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Alonso's shoulder. That is not cool.
Nakara has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Nakara prevents Alonso from escaping the position.
Alonso takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
