Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Li!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brock Barnett!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, David Schapiro and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Li definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Barnett shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Li but Li pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A looping hook to the body misses from Li. Barnett does a little dance to reset his feet.
Barnett moves out of range as Li strikes.
Li throws the left hand but Barnett avoids the punch easily.
Barnett fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Li throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Li shoots in and gets a takedown into Barnett's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barnett has his foot on Li's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Li works his way back into a safe position though.

Barnett is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Li wants to control from the top but Barnett keeps moving.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Li is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Li content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Barnett has momentary wrist control but Li slips an elbow through the middle.

Barnett working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Li doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Li manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Li has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Li is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Li lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

It looks like Brock Barnett has been cut.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Li lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Li arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Barnett's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
