Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jackie Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Todd Ianuzzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chan comes to the cage accompanied by Now i know. Ianuzzi has chosen Paranoid as his entrance music. The key to victory for Jackie Chan has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ianuzzi jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Chan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ianuzzi circles away.
Ianuzzi fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A lazy left from Ianuzzi finds it's target.

It looks like Jackie Chan has been cut.
Chan slips a straight right by Ianuzzi.
Todd Ianuzzi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ianuzzi scores with a jab to the head.
Ianuzzi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Chan misses with a takedown

and Ianuzzi counters with a shoot takedown. Chan fights it but they end up in guard.
Chan is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ianuzzi is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Ianuzzi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Ianuzzi has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Beast Cartel. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Todd Ianuzzi.
Ianuzzi lands with a good body shot.
Ianuzzi throws out a loose jab but Chan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ianuzzi misses with a body shot.
Ianuzzi throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

and Ianuzzi counters with a takedown into side control.

Chan is rocked!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jackie Chan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
