Guilard plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Guilard throws a half hearted mid kick.

Bolelli shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Guilard as he jumps to the side.
Melvin Guilard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bolelli avoids the head kick by Guilard.
Guilard leaves Bolelli with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
We've been told by Bolelli's head coaches at Choppy's School Of Hard Knocks that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Guilard drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
