Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nation misses with the body kick
and Vick counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Nation takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Vick dips to his left and cracks Nation with an uppercut!
Nation uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Vick.
Vick is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Vick clobbers Nation with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Nation takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vick wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Nation has him pressed against the cage.

I was talking to Vick's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Vick lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Nation backwards.
Vick jumps guard but Nation turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Vick breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vick lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Vick sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Vick blocks a head kick by Nation.
Vick bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Vick swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vick is defended easily by Nation.

Vick moves forwards but Nation connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Nation takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Vick thuds his right hand into Nation's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Vick lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
