Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Avlis Epilef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Long comes to the cage accompanied by remember the name. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Epilef. That snapped Long's head back.
Nice body punch from Epilef.
Long on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Epilef lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Long at a distance.
Epilef ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Long shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Epilef's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Long is working Epilef over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Long makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Epilef is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Long rather than just go for the knockout.

Epilef lands a two punch combo.
Long tries to move into range but Epilef moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Epilef lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Long moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Long looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
